On the west of the area of Liptovský Mikuláš, on the high stream of Dúbravka, 636 meters above the sea-level is located a village , Dúbrava. The area of this small town in Liptov is sprawled under the Chabenec, on the north uphill of the Low Tatras. Exectly in this area is situated a pension „MLYNÁROV DVOR“.
This small town was established in the 13th century without a name. In the 1372 was used the name Dúbrava. It was an estate of the country gentlemen from Rástok, and until the second half of 18th century till 1908 there were iron and antimone mines. The gothic church built was bastioned in the 13th century and during 1751-1752 has been repaired. Inside rooms are retained gothic´s symbols. Accessories are stylized to the baroque interface with gothic´s paintings.
From this village is possible to make trips to Dúbrava´s lowlands full of the forest´s vesture, or you can choose a way to close place, Svätý Kríž to take a look at a wooden, articular, protestant church, which is one of the biggest whole-wooden buildings in the middle Europe. By bicycle or by car you can go to Liptovská Mara, where you can enjoy all kinds of water sports. In the close area is a village Bešenová, where is natural Thermal Park Bešeňová, what is non-stop opened everytime during the year and the biggest aquapark in the Slovakia – AquPark Tatralandia. This aquapark is located 15 kilometers from a pension. You can´t forgot to the biggest skiing centrum in the Slovakia called Skipark Jasná. In the summer time it is changed to the beautiful turistic area. The centum Jasná is 25 kilometers far away.
